That\u2019s why it\u2019s important to prepare your home before the puppy arrives, to keep them safe and avoid any unwanted mishaps. Although I\u2019m not a fan of this comparison, in this case, I think it\u2019s quite fitting: Imagine having a 2\u20133-year-old child in your home. How would you secure your space to keep them safe?<br \/>Thinking along those lines, a few obvious points come to mind.<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<div class=\"elementor-element elementor-element-7477cd44 e-con-full e-flex e-con e-child\" data-id=\"7477cd44\" data-element_type=\"container\" data-e-type=\"container\">\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-element elementor-element-37f58761 elementor-widget elementor-widget-heading\" data-id=\"37f58761\" data-element_type=\"widget\" data-e-type=\"widget\" data-widget_type=\"heading.default\">\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-widget-container\">\n\t\t\t\t\t<h2 class=\"elementor-heading-title elementor-size-default\">Jak zabezpieczy\u0107 dom przed przyjazdem szczeniaka labradoodle?<\/h2>\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<div class=\"elementor-element elementor-element-5ec1dc58 e-con-full e-flex e-con e-child\" data-id=\"5ec1dc58\" data-element_type=\"container\" data-e-type=\"container\">\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-element elementor-element-95c1880 elementor-widget elementor-widget-text-editor\" data-id=\"95c1880\" data-element_type=\"widget\" data-e-type=\"widget\" data-widget_type=\"text-editor.default\">\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-widget-container\">\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<ul><li><strong>Cables and electrical cords<\/strong> &#8211; Hide them behind furniture or use protective covers so your puppy can\u2019t reach or chew on them.<\/li><li><strong>Electrical outlets<\/strong> &#8211; If they\u2019re within reach, it\u2019s a good idea to use outlet covers for extra safety.<\/li><li><strong>Household chemicals and medications<\/strong> &#8211; Store them securely out of reach. Nothing should be left on coffee tables, open shelves, or under the TV.<\/li><li><strong>Houseplants<\/strong> &#8211; Many popular indoor plants are toxic to dogs (e.g., philodendron, monstera, aloe vera, and many others). Make sure they\u2019re placed out of reach. If you can\u2019t supervise your puppy closely, watch carefully for any chewing behavior. In that case, consider using a safety gate around the area until you improve the behaviour.<\/li><li><strong>Stairs<\/strong> &#8211; For very young puppies, it&#8217;s best to block access to stairs with a gate to prevent falls or accidents.<\/li><li><strong>Trash and laundry<\/strong> &#8211; Trash bins should be closed, and dirty laundry (like socks or underwear) should be kept out of sight. Puppies love \u201chunting\u201d for such treasures. Also, remember that leftovers or a coffee mug might be a treasure for your puppy &#8211; but what\u2019s good for us isn\u2019t always good for them. Keep all food scraps and cups out of reach.<\/li><li><strong>Small objects<\/strong> &#8211; Coins, kids&#8217; toys, paperclips, jewelry &#8211; anything small and easy to swallow should be removed from the floor.<\/li><li><strong>Slippery floors<\/strong> &#8211; Make sure your puppy doesn\u2019t slide around on tiles or laminate floors. In high-traffic puppy zones, place rugs or anti-slip mats. This helps protect growing joints and reduces the risk of injury during play. Give your puppy a safe space to run and play with you &#8211; without the danger of slipping. Always pay attention to this during daily activities. And if your puppy loves wild ball-chasing, trust me &#8211; the park or backyard is a much better place for that kind of fun!<\/li><\/ul><p><strong>Safe and Off-Limit Zones<\/strong><br \/>It\u2019s a good idea to teach your puppy from day one which areas are allowed and which are off-limits.
